Hello again internet.
Sorry it's been awhile. As you can imagine, we have been taking some time for ourselves. Coming back here to blog has been on my mind but is still a little painful. We are doing ok, though, and I can post more about that later.
But I thought you might like something fun for a change. The computer is still a slow mess, but I'm just uploading a few photos from my camera (unedited) so I can share with you some adventures and photos from the last few months. And I thought I'd start with Emmy's 4th birthday party.
Emmy turned 4 on May 8th. Holy cow, how did that happen? She's such a sassy, smart, fun girl. I have a post I started ages ago about funny Emmy stories, and I promise to finish that up soon. I've been collecting notes since, like, last summer.
But here are some pictures from her party on Saturday May 4th. She had a great time!

We had brunch, complete with Mickey shaped pancakes and Hot Diggity Dogs (if you have every watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, you are familiar with this song). |

Fabulous invitations again this year by Aunt Sarah |

Emmy was too nervous to blow out the candles with everyone looking at her so Miller helped. :) |

E and the beloved Ms Elly (her sitter) |

Mickey toilet paper "bowling" |

I love this picture of Quinn helping Emmy open presents.

The birthday present hit - construction tools so she can help daddy! |

Best picture I could get of the birthday girl so you could see her cute dress. She just moves so fast! :) |

Emmy was using my phone to take her own pictures, which was hilarious. |
You are so much better at party decor than I am. That looks really cute! Hope you are all doing well...
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks. I think it's fun and enjoy doing it. I was definitely more tired this year and tried to dial it back but I still went a little overboard. :) I'm doing ok...hope you are feeling well.
DeleteSo cute! Beth, you have a career waiting as a party planner!
ReplyDeleteHa! I wish Mrs. Mac. I think I could have moved that direction if we had stayed in Augusta, I was getting some paying gigs but moving makes it hard. Not am I a business minded person. But I have fun doing it and I am about to sell all of the decorations to another mom for her daughter's birthday so I can make some money back off of it.
DeleteMom took the words right out of my mouth - you seriously need to be a party planner! Girl, you can REALLY work a theme! Oh my goodness - I am so impressed. Cute cute cute! Where on earth do you get all of your ideas? I hope you pin your pics to Pinterest so others can steal your fabulous designs. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meg, you are too sweet! I do some Google searches first...I find the links on Pinterest to often be unreliable so even if I come across the same stuff, at least I know the link is correct. Plus there are some other great ideas to find that aren't on Pinterst. I cut ideas out of magazines (that's how I got the idea for the rainbow party last year...that came about pre-Pinterest!) I haven't thought about posting my pictures to Pinterest. This blog isn't private but it isn't searchable on Google, mostly since it's really our family blog. I suppose I could start one with just party pictures and see what happens. Most of the ideas here at least I "borrowed" anyways, I'm not crafty enough to come up with them on my own. I just really do love doing the small party thing and helping people with that. If I had business mind I'd try to figure out a way to parlay that into a paying gig.
