We wanted to have some photos made around Emmy's first birthday and this past weekend was the first opportunity we had to get those done. We decided to forgo a professional photo shoot for now since we've been spending money on the yard, etc. But, our friend Mary Ann is working on her photography skills and has been taking some awesome photos, so we asked her if she would mind taking some pictures of Emmy. Luckily she agreed and on Sunday afternoon we headed over to the house of a couple from church (their beautiful yard was the setting for the Easter Egg Hunt photos you saw) to take some pictures. 
It was a HOT afternoon, but Emmy did great! We took her birthday wagon for some of the photos and her cute birthday dress, that didn't arrive until 3 days after her birthday. Mary Ann took over 600 photos. WOW. She has edited the best ones and you can find them in two Picasa Albums she has posted. One is titled Finalists and the other is 5-16-10. Thank you SO much, Mary Ann! You're the best!
My favorites are the ones of her in the yellow and white dress in front of the hydrangeas! What a great color combo!
